MARC Crews of the Week
Men's: Marietta Varsity Eight
The Marietta College and Grand Valley State University men's rowing teams went head to head Sunday (Mar. 25) morning on the Muskingum River. The varsity 8+ crews were first on the water. Marietta finished the 2,000-meter course in 5:37.88 almost seven seconds ahead of Grand Valley State who crossed the finished line in 5:44.76.
Marietta's varsity 8+ lineup included coxswain Chrissy Billingsley (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta), Angelo Leitner-Wise (Alexandria, Va./TC Williams) at stroke, William Hooper (Reston, Va./Tabor Academy), Michael Shrader (Clarence Center, N.Y./Clarence), George Riffle (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma), Brooks Spires (Sebastian, Fla./Sebastian River), Scott Cressman (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge), Evan Odom (Vista, Calif./Rancho Buena Vista) and Ethan Schafhausen (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) in the bow.
Women's: Washington College Varsity Eight
At the Bryn Mawr/Cabrini Invitational on Sunday, the Shorewomen won the first varsity eight in 7:16. Bryn Mawr was second in 7:29, while St. Mary's was third in 7:30.
